Specimen Required Defines the optimal specimen. This field describes the type of specimen required to perform the test and the preferred volume to complete testing. The volume allows automated processing, fastest throughput and, when indicated, repeat or reflex testing.

Collect urine in acid washed or trace metal free plastic container (MML supply number T619). Submit 1 mL of urine refrigerate.

 

Note:   Avoid exposure to gadolinium based contrast media for 48 hours prior to sample collection.
