Secondary ID A test code used for billing and in test definitions created prior to November 2011

NY State Approved Indicates the status of NY State approval and if the test is orderable for NY State clients.

Yes

Useful For Suggests clinical disorders or settings where the test may be helpful

This test is designed to evaluate patients with signs and symptoms compatible with connective tissue diseases. The testing algorithm is useful in the initial evaluation of patients and performs best in clinical situations in which the prevalence of disease is low.(2)

Profile Information A profile is a group of laboratory tests that are ordered and performed together under a single Mayo Test ID. Profile information lists the test performed, inclusive of the test fee, when a profile is ordered and includes reporting names and individual availability.

Test IDReporting NameAvailable SeparatelyAlways Performed
ANA2Antinuclear Ab, SYesYes
CCPCyclic Citrullinated Peptide Ab, SYesYes
IM_01InterpretationNoYes

Reflex Tests Lists test(s) that may or may not be performed, at an additional charge, depending on the result and interpretation of the initial test(s)

Test IDReporting NameAvailable SeparatelyAlways Performed
ADNADNA Double-Stranded Ab, IgG, SYesNo
CMACentromere Ab, IgG, SYesNo
CASMTANA2 CascadeNoNo
RIBRibosome P Ab, IgG, SYesNo
ENAEAb to Extractable Nuclear Ag Eval,SYesNo

Testing Algorithm Delineates situation(s) when tests are added to the initial order. This includes reflex and additional tests.

If antinuclear antibodies are > or =3.0 U, then antibodies to double-stranded DNA (ds-DNA), extractable nuclear antigen evaluation, ribosome P, and centromere are performed at an additional charge.

See Connective Tissue Disease Cascade (CTDC) in Special Instructions.
