Beta-2 Glycoprotein 1 Antibodies, IgG, IgM, and IgA, Serum
Method Description Describes how the test is performed and provides a method-specific reference
Testing for beta 2 glycoprotein 1 (beta 2 GP1) antibodies is performed using indirect, noncompetitive, microtiter enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Beta-2 GP1 antibodies bound in the first stage of the assay (30-minute incubation at ambient temperature) are detected with antihuman IgG/IgM/IgA horseradish peroxidase antibody conjugate in the second stage of the assay (30-minute incubation at ambient temperature) by adding 3,3',5,5' tetramethylbenzidine substrate (10-minute incubation followed by addition of 0.5 M H2SO4).(Package insert: Varelisa Beta-2 Glycoprotein 1 Antibodies, Pharmacia Diagnostics, 189-01)

Day(s) and Time(s) Test Performed Outlines the days and times the test is performed. This field reflects the day and time the sample must be in the testing laboratory to begin the testing process and includes any specimen preparation and processing time required before the test is performed. Some tests are listed as continuously performed, which means assays are performed several times during the day.
