Searching the Desktop Test Catalog

Browse by Disease: Lists all diseases or conditions that begin with the character you click.

Browse by Test Name: Lists all test names that begin with the character you click.

Select a search option:

• Test Name (default)
  Use when all or part of the test name is known.
• Disease
  Find tests associated with specific syndromes, conditions, diseases and infectious agents.
• Everywhere
  A broad search intended for use when other options are not finding results.
• Test ID
  View details for the test ID entered.

Autocompleting search field
Typing the first three letters will prompt a drop-down menu of possible search terms. Select a term with the arrow keys or mouse pointer, then click Go.

Reading the Test Listing

Overview tab: Includes, when applicable: Useful For, Genetics Test Information, Profile Information, Reflex Tests, Testing Algorithm, Special Instructions and Forms, Method Name, Reporting Name, and Aliases.

Specimen tab: Includes Specimen Type, Specimen Required, Specimen Minimum Volume, Reject Due To, and Specimen Stability Information

Clinical and Interpretive tab: Includes, when applicable: Useful For, Genetics Test Information, Clinical Information, Reference Values, Interpretation, Cautions, Clinical Reference, and Special Instructions and Forms.

Performance tab: Includes, when applicable: Method Description, Days and Times Test Performed, Analytic Time, Maximum Laboratory Time, Specimen Retention Time, and Performing Laboratory Location.

Fees and Coding tab: Includes information about fees, Test Classification, and CPT Code Information.
