Proteins from patient sera are denatured, reduced, and digested with trypsin to form peptides. Labeled internal standards are added to the peptide mixture and subjected to selective reaction monitoring (SRM) liquid chromatograph-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) analysis.
