Blastomyces Antibody by EIA, Spinal Fluid
Detection of antibodies in patients having blastomycosis
This test should be used as an aid for the diagnosis of central nervous system (CNS) blastomycosis.
A single negative result by this assay does not exclude diagnosis of CNS blastomycosis. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) fungal cultures and PCR for Blastomyces dermatitidis are recommended alongside serologic testing.
Reflex Tests Lists test(s) that may or may not be performed, at an additional charge, depending on the result and interpretation of the initial test(s)
