All requests will be processed as a consultation first. Special studies will be performed only if diagnostically indicated. If the need for enzyme cytochemical stains, immunophenotyping, and/or immunohistochemical stains is anticipated,
appropriate specimen requirements should be followed as indicated below.
Note: Special stains performed outside of Mayo Medical Laboratories and included with the case may be repeated and charged at the reviewing pathologist's discretion.
