Testing Algorithm Delineates situation(s) when tests are added to the initial order. This includes reflex and additional tests.
This HIV-1/-2 antibody confirmatory evaluation begins with HIV-1 antibody by Western blot (WB) assay. If WB is negative, then HIV2/86702 HIV-2 Antibody Evaluation, Serum is performed at an additional charge. If WB is indeterminate or unreadable, then both HIVFA/81758 HIV-1 Antibody Confirmation by Immunofluorescence, Serum and HIV2/86702 HIV-2 Antibody Evaluation, Serum are performed at an additional charge. If HIV2/86702 HIV-2 Antibody Evaluation, Serum is reactive, then HIV2F/80443 HIV-2 ANTIBODY, IBL will be sent to Focus Diagnostics, Inc. for confirmatory testing at an additional charge.
