TUMSI: A polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based assay is used to test for tumor microsatellite instability with the use of 5 mononucleotide repeats.

MLH1B, MSH2B, MSH6B, PMS2B: Immunohistochemistry is used to test for the presence of the following proteins: MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, and PMS2.
