  Exposure to 100 ppm xylene in air for 8 hours,

  produced urine concentrations of approximately 3 g/L.

  Following exposure to Xylene:  

  Biological exposure index (ACGIH):

  1.5 g Methylhippuric Acid/g Creatinine measured in an end

  of shift specimen.

  Physiologic range:  1.010 - 1.030.
