Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis (LCM) Virus Antibody, IFA (Serum)
Reference Values Describes reference intervals and additional information for interpretation of test results. May include intervals based on age and sex when appropriate. Intervals are Mayo-derived, unless otherwise designated. If an interpretive report is provided, the reference value field will state this.
Antibody to LCM is often detectable within a few days of clinical
symptoms. An elevated IgM titer is indicative of recent or current
infection. A four-fold rise in IgG titer between acute and
convalescent specimens also indicates recent infection.
