Bile acids are elevated in individuals with liver dysfunction, such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, and intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy.

Intervals are Mayo-derived, unless otherwise designated. If an interpretive report is provided, the reference value field will state this.
