Clinical Information
Discusses physiology, pathophysiology, and general clinical aspects, as they relate to a laboratory test
The ABO and Rh typing indicates the presence of specific red cell antigens of 2 of the various blood group systems.
Useful For
Suggests clinical disorders or settings where the test may be helpful
Selecting compatible blood products for transfusion therapy
Cautions
Discusses conditions that may cause diagnostic confusion, including improper specimen collection and handling, inappropriate test selection, and interfering substances
Question all name discrepancies.
