The Remedy Project was initiated by the Virology & Parasitology Laboratory to make two major process improvements that involve Mayo Medical Laboratory’s business aspect of operations for test add-ons and the science aspect of the laboratory. The project aims were to improve the laboratory response time to less than two hours for each Remedy request from Mayo Medical Laboratories, while also utilizing an established and consistent specimen integrity verification process.
