Description
Sharing Our Lean Journey is an opportunity to communicate some of the improvements and challenges Mayo Medical Laboratories has faced. Participants will have the options to attend breakout sessions including: Introduction to Lean; Value Stream Mapping; Problem Solving, and 5S. The conference format will be conducive to asking the instructors questions, networking with other attendees and presenters, exchanging ideas, and sharing some of the challenges faced in their own lean journey.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the program, the participant has information to:
- Explain Mayo Medical Laboratories lean laboratories from conception to implementation
- Discuss and review accessioning and sort automation initiatives
- Review lean laboratories/cellular workstations
- Demonstrate post-analytic and inventory management plan

Mayo Medical Laboratories is approved as a Continuing Education Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science for State of California and State of Florida credit and the ASCLS P.A.C.E ® program. The level of instruction for this program is intermediate. This program is approved for 7.5 contact hours.
