The best way to register is with a business e-mail address where the domain is owned by your business or organization. (Domain: myname@mycompany.com).

When considering whether to use a certain address, bear in mind that it is used mainly to sign into the site. Your address will not be used outside of Mayo and your information is secure. It is not required that you be able to access this account while at work. The only time you will receive e-mails from us will be when setting up your account, requesting your password, upon ordering supplies or when signing up for an event. We have some optional newsletters which are at your discretion.

If you do not have individual business e-mail addresses, here are other options listed in order from best to least desirable:

Request an e-mail address
Talk to your lab manager or supervisor about requesting a company e-mail address for yourself, or at least one address which can be used by your lab/department.
Personal/home address
You may use a personal address or a free e-mail address, as this address is only used to sign you in and to only provide you with e-mails that you request (password request, notification of orders placed, online training certification, etc.). It is not necessary to be able to access this e-mail address from your workplace.
In order to be recognized as a client, contact customer service to request that your personal e-mail address be granted client status.
Free e-mail service
You could create a new e-mail address for this purpose using an online free e-mail service such as Yahoo, Hotmail or G-Mail. Then follow the instructions for a personal/home address.
