Test Notifications and File Definitions
The SCC Soft laboratory information system will impact the format of Test Notifications and File Definition information.
Previously, tests were identified by the name of the test and a numeric test code. Test names will not change after Soft go-live. However, the numeric test code will be replaced by an alphanumeric order code called the Mayo Test ID. Also provided will be a Secondary ID, a numeric code that will usually match the former unit code. Maintaining this correlation will assist in identifying tests after SCC Soft go-live. Test definition documents will include the Test name and the Mayo Test ID. Test Announcements will contain the test name, the Mayo Test ID, and the Secondary ID.
Additionally, there are now two options to use for reviewing test setup data prior to selecting and ordering tests. In the LIS Resources callout, you can download either an Excel or a PDF file to view the setup information. Setup information has been expanded to include more detail than previously available, such as CPT codes, AOE codes, and LOINC® codes and attributes. Formatting also has been enhanced for readability.
