At the time of order entry I did not have all the information to answer test questions and therefore the lab is missing information needed for testing. Is it acceptable to write the missing answers on the batch sheet?
No, MayoAccess allows users to enter information in the system to cross electronically prior to batch closing. If the information is not available prior to batch closing, a missing information form will print when the batch is closed. The missing information form should be completed and faxed into Mayo Medical Laboratories 507-284-1759.
- Is it acceptable to send additional paperwork with missing information form to save on rewriting and/or to prevent error caused by interpretation?
