How can I cancel a test on an order once the order has been batched?
If the order has already been batched, MayoAccess will allow you to cancel the test in the MayoAccess system by going to Orders, Lab Order Search. Locate the order with tests requiring cancellation, select Cancel Test and type the reason for cancellation. However, it is important to note that the cancellation does not cross to Mayo Medical Laboratories and/or the other performing laboratories. Therefore, it is essential to call Mayo Medical Laboratories at 1-800-533-1710 and/or the other performing laboratory to cancel the test in addition to canceling it in MayoAccess.
Note: If Mayo is not notified to cancel the test, the test will be performed and billed.
