Denise M. Harnois, D.O., a Hepatologist at Mayo Clinic in Florida, discusses the current treatments for Hepatitis C, which include a combination of Interferon and Ribavirin. New drugs that target the most common genotype of the virus in the United States, Boceprevir and Telaprevir, were recently approved by the FDA. These new drugs will be used in combination with Interferon and Ribavirin.
