Residual Sample Information

Slide 17

May 2008

This slide shows the information that we have received IRB approval to collect. In addition to de-identifying number, we have the age at the time the specimen was collected, gender, tanner staging, ethnicity, diagnosis, and medications. As you will see in the next slide, these are very important because sometimes we can accommodate specific exclusion criteria that are required for the validation of a test. We also collect information about exactly what tests were performed, because we can go and verify the outcome of those tests, the sample type; how much volume is still available. Also, we maintain a track record of what has been the utilization of the specimen.
