Mayo Medical Laboratories is unique in the reference laboratory industry, because we are part of a large, practicing health care system. We do not rely on a single medical director to consult with our clients, but rather we offer our clients access to the more than 160 physicians and scientists practicing in Mayo Clinic’s Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. These professionals are available for consultation on matters of test selection, order clarification, collection and processing procedures, and, of course, result interpretation.
