Like our customers, Mayo Clinic is a patient care provider. The clinic sees patients every day from the community, the nation and around the world.
Mayo Clinic physicians and scientists are available to consult with customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We connect customers with experts in medical specialties that are not available in their communities.
Through our Assay Specimen Assistance, Mayo Medical Laboratories actively supports the local delivery of health care whenever and wherever practical. A component of that belief is assisting our client laboratories with bringing tests in-house. We welcome the opportunity to work with you to facilitate the expansion of your internal test repertoire. As such, we routinely engage in assay specimen assistance by providing up to 240 correlation samples to our clients inclusive of their fee schedule1. Last year alone, Mayo Medical Laboratories sent more than 25,000 samples to clients. Our Technologist Support Coordinators will work closely with laboratory staff to identify tests that may better serve our clients and their patients through performance in-house. We will then work with our clients to ensure that the test is transitioned efficiently into the laboratory.2
From the start, Mayo Medical Laboratories has proactively reviewed customers’ test menus and utilization reports to identify those tests that may best be performed locally.2
